Payson, Arizona – Pulse Combustion Systems (PCS) announced today that it has developed and implemented a new high-temperature drying system in response to requests from industry. Certain processes require elevated temperatures in the drying chamber while spray drying, and these are very hard to obtain in conventional spray drying.
“While difficult for conventional spray dryer manufacturers, the high-temperature environment is easy for us,” said James A. Rehkopf, President of PCS. “We can produce combustion air at up to 2,000 degrees F, at very high volume, and so we can heat up a drying chamber pretty quickly. The first two customer trials were unqualified successes, and we invite many more.”
